Macintosh owners who have previously missed out on the abundance of PC games can
now have their share of the action, thanks to a new software from
Transgaming Technologies.
The software, called "Cider", operates as a portability engine that allows PC games to operate on Intel-based Macintosh computers. The potential for such a software is considerable, as comparatively few games are released for the Macintosh. Another aspect of the software is that it will offer a path for PC games wrapped in this Intel-Mac "cider" engine to also run on Linux based code, under the "Cedega" program. Users then could seamlessly run PC games on Linux machines. |
