Microsoft has announced its first Macintosh product: a wireless keyboard and mouse combination. The Wireless Laser Desktop for Mac combo has been created to offer Mac users a comfortable, ergonomic design that will offer good performance. The layout of the keyboard will be that of a standard Mac keyboard, and will have the familiar Hot Keys which allow users to map out particular programs. The keyboard will also have a silver finish, five Favorite Keys, Zoom Slider, Eject use, and a Zoom Slider. For the first time in Microsoft keyboard history, a keyboard will not have a Windows Start button on it. Other companies are also beginning to offer products for Mac users. Razer, a company better known for PC gaming peripherals, also has a Razer Pro|Type keyboard and mice that have been designed specifically for Macs. As the market for Macs continues to increase, more and more companies are likely to make the transition into the Mac peripheral market. The Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop for Mac will be available later this summer with an ESRP of $99.95. |
