Kodak has announced four new
digital cameras and a new portable printer. The Kodak Easyshare V705
is another dual lens camera that takes wide angle shots (upgrading the
V570). The Kodak Easyshare C875, C743, and C443 will be added to
Kodak's simple to use, entry level C series. The new Kodak Easyshare
G600 Printer Dock will provide some portability to Kodak's Easyshare
printing solutions. The V705 is essentially an upgrade to the Kodak Easyshare V570. (Why did they have to use the same numbers and just mix them around!?!). It is still the world's smallest ultra wide angle digital camera, with a lens that has 35mm equivalent focal length of 23mm. The other lens provides a 3x optical zoom with a more standard focal length range (39-117mm). With the V705, Kodak has bumped up the capture resolution to 7 megapixels. A 2.5" LCD provides a nice, larger area in which to frame and review your images and movies. Kodak is also bolstering its entry-level, easy to use, C line with three new digital cameras. The Kodak Easyshare C875 features an 8 megapixel capture resolution, an all-glass 5x optical zoom lens, and a 2.5" LCD. A "smart scene" mode automatically selects the best scene mode for your shot, but you can also manually select a scene mode. If you want more control, the camera also has the "PASM" modes (program auto, aperture priority, shutter priority, and manual). The Kodak Easyshare C875 will be available at the end of August for $299.95 |
