As the hands-free driving legislation will be adopted in
five states and the District of
Columbia by July 1st, the headsets will be not a
fancy accessory, but a needed one.
For all the drivers who wish to drive and speak, Aliph has introduced a new Jawbone Bluetooth headset, which is available exclusively at AT&T retail stores and at www.jawbone.com. Aliph has created a new device that combines the best in class noise elimination science with a personal design that is both humanistic and minimal. According to the company, Jawbone’s NoiseAssassin technology uses a patented Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) that is capable to distinguish the sound of your voice from ambient noise with incredible accuracy. Then it uses the proprietary Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms to subtract the noise. This way only the sound of your voice comes through. The new Jawbone 2 headset is designed to be simple to use. Two streamlined buttons are operated by touching the outside shield, and they control all the functions of the headset, which is extremely lightweight at just 10 grams. Aliph has chosen also a special material to create Jawbone 2, such as medical grade plastic with better cosmetic and health performance. Jawbone 2 is available for the moment in matte black, but Aliph intends to launch also silver and rose gold versions. Speaking about the headsets, last month Plantronics launched the Discovery 925 Bluetooth earpiece collection, which is using Plantronics’ AudioIQ noise reduction technology along with the unique VFrame design, that follows the contours of the face and draws the microphone closer to the mouth. The Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth earpiece is available in Black Onyx, Alchemy Gold and Cerise Pink and many new colors will be available later this year. |
